2017 Annual General Meeting

Music Tasmania is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that develops, promotes and advocates for Tasmanian music. 

We are a member-run organisation, managed by a team of elected representatives, which form its Board of Directors.

An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held once a year and all Music Tasmania members are invited to elect board members. 

Please be advised that the AGM will be held:

Wednesday 26 April 2017 from 6pm at the Mess Hall, Quatermasters Arms, 134 Elizabeth Street Hobart.  

There will be nine vacant positions for members to be appointed to the Board of Directors. Incumbent Board Members and financial members are eligible to nominate for these vacancies.  

If you are interested in these positions and joining the Board, please complete the Nomination Form and submit it online by 13 April 2017.

Board members are expected to:

  • Demonstrate effective leadership: Show initiative, provide vision and motivation to support Tasmania's music community.
  • Actively contribute: Commit your time, expertise and resources to help Music Tasmania achieve its vision and mission.
  • Work collaboratively: Cooperate as part of team with fellow Board members, management, and the music sector.

Should you wish to be nominated for election to the Board of Management, or nominate someone else, you must be a current financial member of Music Tasmania.
