National Live Music Awards 2017 nominees

The National Live Music Awards have revealed their nominees across 54 categories, recognising the best musicians, venues, events and industry members from all corners of Australia.

Nominations for the Tasmanian state awards were announced, with A. Swayze and The Ghosts, Ani Lou, EWAH & The Vision of Paradise, The Sleepyheads and Sumner to be named Live Act of the Year.

Emma Waters (EWAH & The Vision of {Paradise), Maddy Jane, Mary Shannon (Bansheelandm, Disrepute), Seth Henderson and Tyler Richardson (Luca Brasi) are nominated for Live Voice of the Year.

Dark MOFO, Mona Foma, A Festival Called Panama, Party In The Paddock and Til The Wheels Falls Off are the nominees for Live Event of the Year; with the Brisbane Hotel, Club 54, The Grand Poobah, The Homestead or the Republic Bar to be named Live Venue of the Year.

For the second year running, Dark MOFO has been nominated as Australia’s Best Live Music Event.

Gang of Youths lead this year's national nominations, with six across the national and state categories, including Live Act of the Year presented by APRA AMCOS, and Live Voice of the Year for lead singer David Le'aupepe. Julia Jacklin, Amy Shark and Camp Cope all sit right behind the gang with five nominations each, following stellar years for all three - in particular Amy Shark, who is up for Best New Act presented by Young HenrysAll Our Exes Live in Texas, Stella Donnelly and the St Jerome's Laneway Festival all enjoy an impressive four nominations.

The winners will be announced at simultaneous events around Australia on Thursday 7 December. The Tassie leg will take place at Launceston's Club 54 and tickets will be free if you book or a $5 donation to Support Act on the door. Line-up to be announced.
