She Walks Through Dusk
A fixture of the Tasmanian rock scene, She Walks Through Dusk have gone from strength to strength since their formation in 2018. Having performed around Hobart as a duo, singer-songwriter Imogen Duske and keyboardist Amelia Kohl decided their songs could benefit from the backing of a full band for a heavier sound. First to join was James Milner (drums), followed eventually by Katherine “Kat” Diaz Robayo (lead guitar) and Ryan Patrick (bass guitar/guitar). Armed with a stable line up, She Walks Through Dusk quickly carved a place for themselves in the music scene, playing everywhere from local watering holes to music festivals, including Launceston’s Festivale.
She Walks Through Dusk’s sound is heavily influenced by the legendary rock and heavy metal bands of decades past, as well as the bands that dominated rock culture during their youth (think Queen, My Chemical Romance, and The Pretty Reckless). They combine catchy and accessible melodies with introspective, often dark lyrics and heavy rock instrumentation to craft a style of music that is uniquely them.
Singles "If You're Silent" and "Anything but This Again" were released in 2020.
