White Rose Project
Since forming on the northwest coast of Tasmania, The White Rose Project have been actively playing shows and developing a following statewide. Now based in Hobart, the band consists of four members (Colin Kucera, Rowan Pattison, Luis Fantarella & Lewis Elliott) who each have their own musical backgrounds and influences. Their music contains aspects of many genres - most notably rock, funk & pop, and this diversity influences their live set, which is high-energy and coasts through a variety of atmospheres – often without stopping.
In 2014 The White Rose Project took first place in the Tasmanian final of the AACA National Campus Band Competition. This sent them to Sydney where they took out second place overall. The judges commented on “incredible songwriting”, “great rhythmic interest” and that the band are “obviously professionally trained”.
Since then the group secured a spot at Marion Bay Falls Festival, Party in the Paddock and released their debut film clip for the track 'Feel'. Goals for the foreseeable future include releasing new material, reaching more ears and patting as many dogs as possible.
