Music Workshop: Bec Sandridge

Music Tasmania has teamed up with Rock Challenge Tasmania and APRA AMCOS to run three Launceston workshops that feature touring artists and agents.

The workshops will provide industry advice from some of the best in the business to help support your music career.

The second Music Development Workshop is with the incredible Bec Sandridge!

A nomadic pop/punk logomaniac, Bec Sandridge has a guitar swagger reminiscent of St. Vincent, and the delivery of new wave icons like Deborah Harry and David Byrne. Her most recent single ‘High Tide’ has landed high rotation on triple j and was a fan favourite on her recently wrapped Australian tours alongside The Rubens and Highasakite.

2016 was a pivotal year for Bec. The last six months in particular saw a signing to Wollongong label Farmer and the Owl, heavy airplay on triple j and community radio, a myriad of shows including main support for Montaigne and Cub Sport on their national tours, festival slots at Festival Of The Sun and Fairgrounds and a standout appearance at BIGSOUND. 2017 has already included tours alongside The Rubens, Highasakite and The Naked & Famous, appearances at Secret Garden Festival, The Hills Are Alive and Mountain Sounds Festival with Groovin’ The Moo, Big Pineapple Music Festival and Yours & Owls Festival still to come.
