Music Tasmania Presents
We develop partnerships with other organisations to showcase Tasmanian music to new audiences at festivals and events. This program provides live, paid performance opportunities for artists to play at Tassie events and showcases our diverse local talent.
The Falls Music and Arts Festival, Homebrewed Stage
Presented by Music Tasmania and the Falls Music and Arts Festival, the Homebrewed Stage showcases Tassie’s finest up-and-coming original acts and runs all fest long in Marion Bay from 29-31 December.
This is an incredible opportunity for emerging Tasmanian artists and bands to show their work, get discovered and connect with new fans at a festival that attracts over 12 000 music lovers from all over Australia.
The selected artists and bands get paid, receive a 3-day ticket to the festival and join a massive lineup of big name acts. Music Tasmania is tickled pink to partner with our friends at Falls Music and Arts Festival to showcase Tassie talent and provide patrons with the opportunity to discover new, hombrewed music.

City of Hobart, Taste of Tasmania music program
We partnered with the City of Hobart to celebrate Tasmanian music at the Taste of Tasmania by programming over 100 local musicians and bands from all over the state. This was a great opportunity to present some of the best original music that Tasmania has to offer, alongside our outstanding food and beverages.

Junction Arts Festival
Music Tasmania presented Soundscape as part of last year's Junction Arts festival. For one night only in Prince's Square the cream of Tasmania’s electronic artists performed and explored the possibilities of music, technology and space in the heart of Launceston.

LAUNCH at Launceston airport
Music Tasmania partnered with Launceston Airport and James Boag Upper Deck (operated by Emirates Leisure Retail) to present LAUNCH - a music program taking off at Launceston airport every Friday from 4-6pm. LAUNCH is a great opportunity to promote Tasmanian music and give people arriving in Launceston a taste of amazing local talent.
Tasmanian Breath of Fresh Air Film Festival
We curated some laid-back Tassie music for the Festival Lounge at the Inveresk hub of BOFA this year. Tasmanian artists also featured during the awards nights at the inaugural Innovative Tasmania Awards and film industry Devil Awards during the festival.
Over ten Tasmanian bands and artists from a range of genres including The Mangus Trio, Violet Swells, Chupacabra and DJ Dameza, made this festival an experience to remember for craft beer connoisseurs.
Royal Hobart Regatta
The stage was set in front of the Derwent for a pretty sweet summer music showcase.
