2018 Annual General Meeting
Music Tasmania is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that develops, promotes and advocates for Tasmanian music. We are a member-run organisation, managed by a team of elected representatives, which form its Board of Directors. An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held once a year and all Music Tasmania members are invited to nominate or elect board members.
Please be advised that the AGM will be held:
Wednesday 13 June 2018 from 6-7 PM at the Meeting Room, Salamanca Arts Centre
There will be eight vacant positions for members to be appointed to the Board of Directors. Incumbent Board Members and financial members are eligible to nominate for these vacancies. Executive positions are determined by the Board at the first meeting.
If you are interested in these positions and joining the Board, please complete the Nomination Form and submit it online by 5pm Tuesday 30 May 2018. Members will have an opportunity to vote prior to the meeting.
Board members are expected to:
- Demonstrate effective leadership: Show initiative, provide vision and motivation to support Tasmania's music community.
- Actively contribute: Commit your time, expertise and resources to help Music Tasmania achieve its vision and mission.
- Work collaboratively: Cooperate as part of team with fellow Board members, management, and the music sector.
Should you wish to be nominated for election to the Board of Management, or nominate someone else, you must be a current financial member of Music Tasmania.
