Naked feature in Songs from the Edge

Naked is a noisy, experimental punk offering by Kieran Sullivan, Robert Fisher and Jordan Marson. They recently recorded and filmed Massive Cock, the first song from their debut LP, Pink Quartz, as part of the Songs from the Edge program.

Songs from the Edge showcases Tasmanian musicians performing in unusual locations and spaces across the island. Supported by UTAS, this project brings together Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music students with artists to produce live film clips in unique locations.  Check them all out here.

Massive Cock is not just an ode to the band’s giant member - rather it’s a scathing tune about the heavy burden of masculinity, with lead singer Kieran Sullivan singing about castration: “I got a massive cock and I want it chained right down, carved into an orchid or a jasmine vine / I got a massive cock and I want it split in half, one side to the barbecue and the other to the dogs.”

This song was recorded and filmed in the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music’s majestic concert hall by UTAS students, Richard Coburn, Harrison Downes and Reilly Christian.

The band is also playing live as part of BIGSOUND on Thursday 8 September at the Foundry, or on Friday 9 September at The Haunt for BSR + Tenth Court shindig.
