Tasmanian Music Sector Consultation Forums

Music Tasmania, The Live Music Office and APRA AMCOS invite venues, artists, music industry representatives and policymakers to a consultation forum to discuss the state of play for the music sector in Tasmania.

Speakers include:

Laura Harper - Chief Executive Officer, Music Tasmania
Chris O'Neill - National Manager, Writer Services, APRA AMCOS
John Wardle - Policy Director, Live Music Office

Laura from Music Tasmania will provide information on Music Tasmania’s programs and services, including their live music and regional development program.

Chris from APRA AMCOS will be available to talk you through the new Performance Report system, and assist with any APRA AMCOS queries that you may have.

John from the Live Music Office will present a national overview across State, Territory and Local Government policy and strategic planning initiatives, as well as current research, advocacy and developments in regulation for live music.

Attendees are invited to participate in the forum by raising their ideas about how the music sector can be better supported in Tasmania. Stakeholders will also have an opportunity to contribute a written submission as part of the consultation process.
